"Flying Dutchman or any of the trained Aero Beetle GT3 boys" vs. FIAT Challenge
Gavin and Amy,
Thanks so much !!!
What a great level of explanation of risk at Bishop Bend.
I feel chicken because I brake hard before entering Bishop, but I'd rather gain speed through it while on the gas, than entering at higher speeds and having to control the rear end losing grip. This is my comfort zone, I feel chicken, I still lap in 2:17 on DOT tires with a car 2 secs slower than a 3.8 RS at Sebring (last paragraph intended to DE Cup drivers with airs of supremacy, and lousy driving skills). ...

After watching video of you, Rad, and the DE Cup drivers I wouldn't run my mouth so much. They are better than you. ; Your so called DOT tires ie Hoosier A6 are comparable to a slick for the 1st couple of laps until they overheat.

...and I have data comparing A6 to Michelin slicks, dream on for thinking they have similar grip, I have driven on them many times. Remember, I ran slicks for 4 years.
New Challenge (called at Winterfest and no takers): Best Aero Beetle lap + Best Fiat lap, this much worse drover against any of the much better drivers.
Warmup lap, 2 hot laps, a cool down. Next NASA Time Trials at Sebring. Takers?

My Fiat put less power down (397whp), no wings, no splitters, no dive planes, no gurney lip, no short diameter tires, no monster traction, 7 secs slower at the Nurburgring, old A6, and a much worse driver, still the Aero Beetles can't catch it.

Fifty on the flying Dutchman or any of the trained 4l boys.
Plus, If I lose , free RL membership for 3 years.
If Rad goes down , I will prepare a signature for him.
(and yes, it will include derogatory terms for Ferrari : ) )

Not to take away from gavins awesome post and Driving, but Rads 2 lap wonder might be faster with his 490 HP.
Let's do a 45 minute session. First one across the line on same dot tires wins.
Fiffy? Let's double that.
