Default DIY guys: 997 tools?

Local sears hardware and tool store is closing and everything's on sale. I have a pretty comprehensive set of tools having worked on BMWs and VWs (street and race) for many years. Anything you recommend getting that is unique to Porsche and/or 997? That one little thing that makes that pain job less painful?

Thanks!

Although not uncommon reverse or female Torx come to mind.

Got the torx bits, but definitely need the female sockets.

Triple square bits (commonly confused with Torx) - need if you do a steering wheel change..

I also have the Torx set from Craftsman, same as Kellen. It's worth watching for seasonal offers as I bought mine in a sale for $30 (same cost as buying a set of torx driver sockets).

Thin wall sockets are nice too.

The Sears by me has dozens of those kits for 30% off

Default Toolkit

I realize this is not at Sears, but thought I would share.
This is at Lowes. 227 pieces $99. Seems like a good deal

  1. Timing chain Cam lock tool (won't find it at Sears though)
  2. AirLift system for evacuating and refilling the coolant system when you do a water pump change
  3. Motive Power Bleeder
  4. Guide pins that thread into your Lug bolt hole allow you to slide a wheel away from the hub and caliper so you don't drop the wheel on your rotor when you remove the last bolt

Good ones. Add a battery charger to the list.

If you have PASM and plan to change them out, the pass through socket wrench would be nice.
