764 Pressure Plate and pedal effort?
I'm sure this has been asked before but getting ready to order a new setup for the car and looking at the 764 PP. I am not doing the GT2 slave conversion, just want the added clamping force of the PP.
Has anyone installed 764 PP on otherwise stock setup? How much more pedal effort will there be?
Thanks!

Why would you not do the gt2 setup? It makes the biggest diff. The pedal effort if leaving the stock accumulator should be close to stock, just a little more effort. My clutch is the same PP with gt2 slave and is pretty heavy, but feels proper.

Honestly, I'm ok with the engagement ... I had an injury some years ago that gets aggravated pretty easily. I'm really just looking for the higher clamping force that pressure plate offers. Considering that I wasn't even planning to put a tune on the car and that I was going to just keep the stock clutch. At least I'm doing this
I'm guessing that if I retain the stock slave setup going to the 764PP shouldn't really add too much pedal effort so I can have the best of both worlds.

pretty sure its just the slave delete that creates the greater resistance when engaging the clutch as compared to when the hydraulics are working.. not the "tougher" plate per se.
i can't imagine you'll feel any difference. I've driven cars with the *supposed* 2.5 setup utilizing that 764pp and i couldn't tell the difference..gt2 delete? different story.

I have a slightly different "take"
Over the years, feedback from many customers will tell me that it "Feel's slightly stiffer"
When I press them for there opinion>> no more than 10 to 15%
What is more important, the frequency or quickness of engagement is better. The clutch feels better vs the stock PP and clutch disk..
Hope that helps...

I have not found the effort to be an issue.
What I have found to be a little problematic is the fair sudden "grab". It is tangibly easier to stall the car if one is not paying attention. Sort of fun if one is "driving in anger", but everyone who has ever driven my car has found it sort of unforgiving...

Interesting, what clutch disc are you running and dual mass flywheel right?
