Congrats and welcome.

For your reference, here's mine with 19" wheels and it's not lowered.

Enjoy your ride

I concur with others...do NOT put 20's on that turbo. I put 19's on mine (granted I have C/O suspension) and the ride quality degraded significantly. 20's will only be worse. I too think 20's look absolutely silly on a 996. They built the car to run 18's. After two sets of 19's, I am sold on the overall look, feel, handling on 18's.
Do you have some pics of what you ended up going with in 18?

If you like the hre's but they are outside the budget take a look at their flow formed versions, cost is a bit lower but still really nice looking wheels.... http://www.hrewheels.com/wheels/hre-flowform/ff01

Any thoughts on running different tire brands front and rear. I had always heard that was not great. Here's what the seller of those eBay wheels said...

Wheels are staggered.... Front are "Nitto INVO" ZR rated and rear are "Yokohama Advan Sport". Front are 235 width and rear are 315 width but both front and back are 19" wheels

any concerns ?

Yeah...nitto invo tires suck (I had them on the BBS F1 19"s that came on my car)...and mixed with Yok Advan's, that would be a terrible setup if you plan to do any real driving.

Also, you should double check tire heights...to make sure those sizes are within spec for your AWD.

IMO the wheels are worth something, the tires are not.
