How about the fuel consumption of your turbo?

I'm seeing an average of about 18mpg, and that includes some freeway and some backroads. Not much stop and go...
and that's with straight 100 unleaded.

Using the Turbo for my DD as the Boxster is in the shop awaiting parts.
Just filled up last night, well, added 8.14 gallons of Chevron's finest.
MPG: 18.7mpg over 148.6 miles at an average speed of 39mph. Those numbers are believe it or not a bit -- just a bit -- better than usual. Had a couple of rather light commutes the other day, first going to work then coming home again.

I get 24-25mpg with a daily commute of around 80% 70mph cruise, and 20% surface road (around 35mph average on this stretch); generally very little stop-and-go.
The is calculated from gallons going-in and miles traveled.
I've noted that the MPG reported by the computer is affected by readings from the MAF, so you can't really trust it. For example, when I swapped-in a new MAF, the computer thought there was a big jump in MPG, but according the actually amount of fuel being used, there was essentially no change. Interestingly, as time went on, the computer seemed to gradually start to understand that its calculations were wrong, and the reported MPG eventually started drifting down to a more accurate number. Probably took around 5 fill-ups for this "drift" to happen...
Every mechanic that has looked at the car has been of the opinion that it is a completely stock non-X50.

Curvy daily commute with 1K elevation rise and fall, then city driving stop and go = 13.4mpg
Sustained but high cruising speeds = 18mpg
Sustained "normal" highway speeds = 22mpg
Those numbers are with the latest GIAC tune, headers, exhaust, lowered, wide 315 tires, and a guard lsd that all affect mpg.

2003 stock x50 manual coupe, highway at 65-85 mph. Took the pic because I was really surprised when I drove it back after buying it. Daily commute is more like 18-20 depending on traffic.

I have kept track of my mileage since I bought the car back in April '14.
~12,200 miles mix of standstill Bay Area traffic, open freeway and canyon fun.
Max: 19.5 mpg

Oil, I go through ~1qt/4k miles. Mobil1 10w40

Highlander, you should hook up with MotoJB and I, we do get out for a canyon run occasionally. For me, Alice's on 35 is where I tend to go when I have 2hrs and a 3yr old onboard.
