Atlanta cars and octane
Hi All,
I wanted to look at a couple of 996TT’s that are not for sale. I wanted to see what a really well maintained 996TT looks like and sounds like. I’m in the Atlanta area ( Roswell) and I noticed that this Sunday (Feb 1) coming up there is going to be a meeting of Caffeine and Octane at it’s new location at Perimeter mall.

Is anyone on the list going to that?
I’ve trolled here in the list and obtained some basic knowledge, but would now really like to talk one on one with some owners and sit in a few cars. Alternatively I would be happy to buy someone a beer or cup of coffee to check on of these cars out in my local area.
Thanks,
Matt

Hey Matt...I've never been to that event but P-cars are very well represented at some. I would invite you to attend a PCA DE at Road Atlanta as there are usually several Turbos in attendance. Unfortunately, most will be like mine and not stock.

I'll have to check that out (i.e., get permission to leave the wife with 4 kids under 5)
. I live about 40 minutes from there East of Atl. Mine is stock and in pretty good shape.

Thanks for the replies, I checked out the peach state PCA and they don't have any DE events coming up, at least none that I could find.
I understand about the little kids putting a crimp in your schedule, I've got a 3 year old and a 9 month old. I use to have lots of free time, now not so much.

Hey, I might go -- haven't been since the weather got cold. Think there'll be many people/cars there this time of year?
Mine's stock but for: 30mm/15mm spacers on OEM Sport Techno wheels; Billy Boat header (but stock muffler); B&M Short Shift kit (hate it -- came on the car, haven't gotten around to changing it yet.) Oh, also 1" lowering H&R springs. When I got it it had H&R coilovers and 19" wheels, but I didn't like the harshness at all. Put new OEM struts in, along with new H&R springs. Much better combo.
In the meantime, if I can't make it Sunday, I work in Alpharetta, Old Milton, 2 miles east of 400. Might be easier to meet up over lunch in the area. Give me a shout over PM if you'd like.
Bought in early '13 with 17k miles. Currently has 25k. $149k MSRP. X50 package, sunroof delete. Not for sale but probably will be by summer (ordering a 991 GTS.)
Photo above shows why GT Silver Metallic (Boxster) is worth 3400 bucks more than Arctic Silver (on Turbo).
