I have the M030 suspension on my 993 and it's about 1/2" lower. I think this car could use being about 1/4" lower. It's not SUV height but the fender is still fairly high. With the front spoiler height, there's not much tolerance for very much lowering.

I assume if the suspension is stock, there is no adjustment mechanism to height using the perch as there is on Bilstein PSS9's? Also, is there a measurement I can take to determine if there is any lowering; floor to center cap or floor to fender?

Here is a picture of my 996 Turbo on stock U.S. suspension (this illustrates why I installed Porsche's X73 suspension...to rid the car of the "high-water" look).

This picture is from a higher camera position:

Not on the stock suspension

My stock ride height floor to fender, through the center of the wheel (stock tire pressure with tires worn about 1/3) was: Front 26 9/16" and Rear 26 7/16".

You could very well be stock. It's just that the picture you posted doesn't give me that impression. Camera angles can do that though.

Where the X73 really shines is with the sharper handling and minimized body roll it provides.
The improved stance is just a bonus.

X73 covered every area I was concerned with:

* Ride height
* Handling
* Body roll
* Stability at speeds (much better planted)

Thanks for the photos and info. I just measured from the floor through the center to the fender. I'm an even 26" in the front and 26 7/16" in the rear. I'm going to take a look at the front and see why/how it's only 26".

I thought it looked ~9/16" low in the front.....

Very nice looking car! And a rare car! The real truth about some of the 996 turbo variations will come up with time. Examples... Last "analog" turbo, Last Turbo S that had 3 pedals and as is, only 600 Turbo S(coupes) were made, Dry Sump... to name a few. They will never cost what the older Turbos cost but they will make a statement after it is all said and done. Enjoy, Take care and tastefully mod your car it is a keeper and STILL an unbelievable machine. oh and do not forget M96/70S 645...

Default Time flies.

It’s hard to believe it’s been 5 years with my TTS. Seems like only 2 or 3. This by far has been the best Christmas present I ever bought myself. There have been zero maintenance issues. I just did the 30k mile tune up right after I bought it and had clutch accumulator replaced. I’ve put about 12k miles on it and have shied away from mods other than UMW tune and clutch kit to handle the power. Overall great car.
