Default Convertible top hydraulic leak

So my top wouldn't open this morning. So looking under the cover I find the hydraulic reservoir empty, not a good sign, when I closed it last night the pump sounded like it was running empty so i expected something.
So I walk around the vehicle and find a oil stain in front of the right rear wheel and oil on the wheel arch liner (first pic)
The second pic is looking down the large cylinder on the right side it appears the hydraulic line / connector is leaking at the front end of the cylinder
any body changed one of these?

There is a company in Florida that rebuilds them.

2002 Turbo - Basalt Black Metallic / 2003 Carrera 4S - Speed Yellow / 1955 356 Continental 1500 - Rust Red

I have a call into the dealer for a quote on replacing it, so we will see.
The cheapest replacement new part I can find is a little over $700. It looks do able from the back but not easy. I haven't looked at whats involved in taking off the interior trim this would get a lot more access.
There's a couple of places doing rebuilds, but I don't want the car off the road waiting for the re
I'll post with the dealer price and let you know what happens.

I had this same problem last year. Used Cabriolet Hydraulics in FL. Cost for the kit to replace both cylinders, new seals and fluid was $600 with a $200 core credit. Downloaded the manual to replace them, but at the last minute decided to have my indie to it. I think he charged $200 for both cylinders.

Thanks for the Link LordVicious.
So I got the quote back from the dealer $1,264 roughly $850 parts including fluid.
I find some one for rebuild who will core exchange just one cylinder, There is very little labor (15min may be) saved by replacing both at the same time and its a hydraulic cylinder, its the fitting that's leaking not the rod seal so there so speaking as a engineer there is really no reason to change both at the same time. May be I'm in a pissy mood but for the company to Highly Recommend changing both is just a annoying sales pitch and makes make not want to use them

Can you share the name of the company in FL that rebuild the hydraulic cylinders?
Have a '99 911 cabrio, is leaking both sides, ore on the left side (driver). I'm afraid it would cost a fortune to fix. I took this car as a payment and wondering if this was the worst decision ever.
The motor seems to work, the top starts going down but does not complete the movement.
I took it this morning to a Porsche shop (not dealer) and just got the Est, it's 749.00 parts + 745 labor, total 1,664.75

I don't have a leak, yet, but since my cab is 21 years old I bookmarked a kit in anticipation. If you are handy, or know someone, check this one out:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Hydraulic-C...m/273328486330

I think this is one of those jobs that seem scary but might actually be easy (and definitely not one for the dealer).

The place is cabriolet hydraulics. Link Get the kit it comes with everything you need. It’s around $500 and you have to give them your old cores. It took me about 3 hours to change both. Make sure you get the orientation correct. There is a grove in the side of the car part of the piston goes in. On the driver side there is a oval clip you need to capture that tells how open the top is. Look at this thread for some help

Cylinder replacement
