Default FS: 1999 996 C2 - Arctic Silver/Boxster Red (x-post)

This is a cross-post from the vehicle classifieds (link). A copy of the ad is below.

This is a really special 911. It was a custom order car for the first year of 996 production in Arctic Silver, with the extremely rare and beautiful full leather Boxster Red interior. Everything in the car is factory leather wrapped.

The car is located in Vancouver, BC.
$22,600 USD.

It has all of the best options: Litronic headlights, trip computer, limited slip diff, traction control, sport suspension and GT3 buckets. In my opinion, this is one of the most unique and desirable 996.1s you can find.

It comes with a full binder of maintenance history, bill of sale and window sticker, and was imported from the US two years ago by the previous owner (a fellow PCAer and Rennlister). It has 58,979 miles on it at present, and a valid RIV sticker.

It has been tastefully updated with genuine OEM clear corner markers and tail lights, MY02 wheels and the GT3 leather buckets. See photos.

The LN Engineering IMS bearing upgrade was performed recently at Mantis in Oakville before I brought it with me to Vancouver. They also replaced the RMS and coolant tank, and tested the AOS (good).

There is absolutely no smoke at startup, or at any other time.

Here's a list of the most relevant options:
  • M030 Sport suspension (recently installed)
  • Limited Slip Diff
  • Traction Control
  • Full leather interior in Boxster Red
  • Litronic (Porsche HID) headlights
  • Trip computer
  • GT3 sport bucket seats with engraved Porsche crests
  • 18" 911 MY02 wheels
  • Aftermarket Pioneer bluetooth head unit (original Becker unit available)
  • Porsche Roof Transport system (negotiable)
Cosmetically, the car is near perfect, except for the wheels. They were repainted black, and the paint is starting to peel off, I suspect due to inadequate prep. I managed to curb both passenger side wheels a little, too, so one way or another, they will eventually need refinishing to bring them up to the level of the rest of the car.

I brought the car with me when I moved to Vancouver, but I'm again feeling the pull of a track car, so I think it's time for a change.

I know this car! David (good friend) at Mantis told me about it because it's is a clone of mine, (with the exception of the aftermarket GT3 seats and red leather steering wheel - mines black leather). Interesting to see the subtle differences in order options.

Very nice looking 996 with that unique red interior. You should not have any problem selling this clean and nicely optioned 996. Good luck, cheers.

How do you import this to the states?

Was it originally a US car?

Thanks, everyone.
I don't know the exact details for taking the car back into the US, but it is a US car, so I'm told that there are only a couple of steps.

Mother. Of. God. <3

Best of luck with your sale, I would scoop it up in a heartbeat if I wasn't so set on purchasing an air-cooled next.

Absolutely gorgeous. The photos seem to wash out the red. I've had lobster red porsche interior and this needs better photos to really see it's beauty. GLWS

Thank you, everyone. Seeeu, The interior is Boxster Red, not Lobster. That is pretty close to how it looks in real life.

Arctic Silver with Boxter Red leather is my favorite combination. What I enjoy most is the fact that you go to many gatherings of Porsche care and not see another!
