My 2000 appears to have the top tethers. If looking in from rear window you should see some perforated carpet around it on the back shelf.

I was able to install our spare Graco, but its quite cramped back there and the pass seat is all the way forward. This is a temp setup because I wanted to drive the 996 to work today and my wife cant grab the kiddo for me tonight. I'm usually the one who picks her up so I had to see if I could make this work and it does.

Picking up some Recaros this weekend and I ordered an EvenFlo Maestro Seat, so the whole interior seating will get a revamp very soon. 3-seater car in the near future haha
