Default Exhaust

I have an question so I hope the experts can help me.

Today I traded the GT3 engine for an 993 '95 with 43.000 miles that must be build in the 964 convertible.
I stil have the GT3 muffler, and now the question is; use the GT3 muffler or buy an new exhaust setup from FVD.

If its better to use the GT3 muffler wich headers (with head) will fit and make it plug and play?

For so far thnx for your tips and help.

Regards,
Marco

Ha Andreas,

Yes I did traded the GT3 engine for an 993 engine, the plan was to build in the GT3 in the 964, but it was an to hard job and I want to drive again this year. So I had an talk with the mechanic and he said it was for him an to big of an challenge. So I was glad he admitted and now we can go further.

Regards,
Marco

To get the topic straight, you're asking advice on what exhaust system to use on a 993 motor installed in a 964 (convertible), while using a GT3 muffler. Correct?

I can't help you on what parts to use, however, I thought I would try to solve the language issue.

I know Steve Weiner from Rennsport Systems has experience with gt3 mufflers on later air cooled cars. You might want to contact him.

I believe that the pic is from a 964 (based on suspension).

There is no way to make the GT3 Muffler plug and play. It will not work with a stock set of 993 Headers. You can make it work with a set of aftermarket headers, however it will still require some fabrication to mate them up.

For ease, you are better off selling the GT3 muffler and buying a full aftermarket system.
