Unable to pressurize brake fluid reservoir - Motive
After lots of reading about the Motive power bleeder I finally got me one of those. BUT I'm unable to pressurize the system - leaking pressure - and it's not a faulty power bleeder (tested that one).
The cap that connects to the brake fluid reservoir is tight and I'm losing pressure somewhere within the reservoir but where? There should not be a vent or an overflow or am I wrong? Has anyone had the same issue?
TIA

It would help if you put your MY in your signature.
If your car has the brake resiviour vent you need to clamp it.

Thanks all, found the solution. There is a vent line running from the reservoir back alongside the inner fender back towards...not sure. Putting a C-clamp on the rubber portion of the this vent line (the part is metal) allows me to build pressure. Thanks!

The universal adapter - good for a range of brands including Porsche. The universal is threaded as well...

I just did the update which removes the vent line, replaces the cap with a vented one, and has a plug/clamp that goes on where you removed the line.

these are the porsche parts, need the vented cap, and need a plug & clamp. I got the porsche one and porsche clamp, but it was way more 'expensive' than it should have been ... :-)
