Just kidding. People get uptight about their caliper color. I say do it up any which way (but loose ... with an orangutan in the passenger seat) you please.

Your car has conservative colors, otherwise. The touch of purple gives it a little pizzazz, like a purple pocket square (see below).

Be careful, though. To some, a purple hanky signifies that one is into BDSM and "leather culture." You might get some unwanted attention, depending on what you're into.

 

How'd you color them? Paint? Powder?

 

Thanks Calli, I was not aware of that. LMAO, now I wish I would have known about that because I would have just left them alone. But oh well, I like the subtleness, and once everything else is finally finished the purist are going to burn me at a stake anyways.

 

 

Since the car is getting painted right now, I just did paint. BUT I really wanted to do powder but to do it right you're talking at least $150+ a caliper because of the cost to strip them completely down due to the temps used in the powder coating process, and trust me I just had an off road trailer powder coated, some external urethane pieces are bubbled due to the heat. So a caliper has to be completely disassembled, and then put back together and if the coating gets into places it shouldn't be etc it becomes a real pain in reassembly. I got the color I wanted, then it was color sanded, the Porsche decals put on then clear coated.

 

That wouldn't be my choice, but, it's your car.

That color goes well with silver, you might have a hard time finding seat belt material to match that color.
