Thanks Steve. That's what I figured... Hell all that carbon on there probably helps clearance!

This one [#3] was my worst one. All exhaust valves were out of spec, and are getting replaced.

No major surprises, cam gears getting backdated, and clutch/flywheel was done 3 years ago. Replacing lifters. New sound pad and new clutch slave and master.

Kika - everything on your list to-do list is on mine except the clutch slave & master. How did you decide to include that? Just asking to see if I want to add it to my "while I'm in there" list.

Keith,
I have read and heard some very good things on the MPL clutch slave.
Just thought I'd pass it along for your consideration...Yeah, its more money.

I have installed at least two of these - and they make a significant difference in effort (about 30% if you do the math). Only downside is they have less stroke (since the reduction is by increasing the diameter of the piston) so if your clutch is very close to the floor, it may not work. One the last two I have installed, the MPL only marginally lowered the engagement point, both clutches bite point were about mid stroke.

A recommended upgrade on heavier clutches. Stock or RS NA clutches not needed. Recommended for Turbo clutches if you remove the power assist (for better feel). There are a few of us in Vancouver who have gone manual on our Turbos for just that reason, and are using MPL's to lighten the load (and lower the wear at the pedal cluster).

Cheers,

Mike

Recommendation of my mechanic, due to hanging pedal.
