Just curious, has anyone that has done the pinning mod plan on purchasing these ?
If so, what is your reasoning....new part vs old part ?

Just ordered a pair!

Slightly OT... Can we buy the outer tie-rods individually? I've only found inner and outer sold together. I also am at close to stock height, and don't need the RS outers.

Nlu, thanks for the order! Are you looking for the OEM outer tie rods? I can look around for you.

Are there any first installation experiences and driving impressions? I pinned my inner ends a couple of years ago but still feel that the steering response could be more crisp on the track.

Install was easy, but the car is being aligned so no driving impressions yet. DE is in two weeks. Also added rear toe links and new front bushings.

Driving to the shop with f'ed up toe was the scariest thing. I learned the whole new meaning of "bump steer" and "car trying to dart around". Couldn't go more than 50mph on highway.

I'm about to install mine from the group-buy, and have a question: the other end of the tie rod, which has a ball joint on it, are those susceptible to wear? should I replace those while i've got everything apart or do the joints hold up to some abuse? Also, can you buy those separately or do they always come as a full tie-rod with both parts? Maybe once I get everything apart it'll become apparent...

Tip: If you are self installing make sure to measure the distance to the outer tie rod jam nut. If you can get the new parts within 1-2mm of the baseline measurement you will be fine to drive the car for formal alignment.

I drove the car with the new EVO inner tie rods for the first time this past thursday at Mosport.

Pure magic

For anyone who is on the fence... just do it!

^actually the new inner tie rods can be different lengths so you gotta account for that. Driving misaligned car was the scariest thing I've done.

These inner tie rods def reduced the slop in the steering. Very nice improvement for the price.

Yes, they are 2mm shorter overall length than the stock factory pieces. So you have to take your measurement to the jam nut and add 2mm per side.

And yes, big bang for the bucks!
