So driving through downtown Calgary this morning I ended up driving along side a beautiful, totally stock polar silver 993TT. Looked like it also had hardbacks. Anyways, was driving right beside him for quite a while however couldn't get him to even notice me beside him. Car was driven by an older guy that didn't seem excited to see me! Anyways, can't help but wonder if maybe he's not a real 993 enthusiast and just has this "older" turbo. Wonder if he knows the value of the car?

No real point to the story other than to daydream thinking I might one day happen across a 993 similar to this and have the opportunity to buy it for a lot less than market value from someone not up to date on the current spike in 993 prices!

I've only ever driven beside a 993 once in YEG. Was yellow RS clone and he instantly spotted me. Every other time I see one I'm either on my bike or in my Touareg. =(

In that case, drive your 993 more often... Mine is a daily driver...

My 993 is my daily driver. The only other time I've seen another 993 locally I was riding my bike.

Weird. Only time I ever see other 993's is Derek's and Stevens on Tuesdays, or the midnight blue C4S in my neighborhood.

I'm in Edmonton, and since I got my 993 this spring, I've only seen 2 others 993s, one was a polar silver C2S, I was in my work car at the time. The second time was a guards red C2 at an intersection, I was in my 993, we were turning different directions so didn't get a chance to wave.

I rarely see 993s in Montreal, but last weekend i saw a super clean C4s in Ste-Anne-de Bellevue and last winter i saw a horrific site. A blue C4s on mismatched winter tires parked in a snowbank. full of salt.

I was under the impression that the C2S, given the MY's 97-98 it was manufactured, were available only in Artic Silver (unless it was paint to sample). I believe Polar Silver was MY's 95-96.

You're 100% correct but given how rare 993 are up here, never mind some-kind-of-silver-C2S'es I think the poster may have mistaken the color.

Mine is indeed an arctic silver C2S.

Thank you! We should try to get a GTG setup for the YEG guys or maybe meet up with the YYC in Ded Reer or something...
