Joe - EA did some of the initial bodywork on round one. Due to proximity and wanting to be involved in the fitting process I have a very exacting local guy (who does hotrods, show tractors, etc) doing the round two bodywork. EA will be doing the mechanical reassembly & setup.
Speaking of which, here we go....

I see you kept my home-made rear lexan braces...;-)
When I first took the car to the track without them, I kept hearing this loud BANG in every braking zone. Turns out the lexan was deflecting inward at speed and "popping" out on decel... and it was VERY loud, even with a helmet on. Took me a while to figure out what the heck that was - then I engineered a fix. :-)
In fact, if you look close enough at the pic in my sig when she was red at Daytona you can see the inward deflection.

Where does one see these vids?
Matt nice work, Looking like its in good hands now and I wish you the best on the body work. I cant wait to see how it turns out. It was amazing as is, should be even more of a beauty when the flairs are added.
Im not sure if anyone asked this yet but what is your plan for the wheels once the flairs are added?

looking great bud, are the fenders CF or glass? Are they wider or switching them just for the weight factor?
How many bolt holes are the wheels and what brand? What will the outer barrels be widthwise when you rebuild them? some wheels parts are avalible here http://www.tunershop.com/Wheel_accessories/Outer_Lips/

I just spoke to William Knight, who says works a lot with Gramroth, and he says that even the low butterfly ITB with a GT3 plenum will make 30lbs more torque at the low end vs my ordinary ITBs. Hmmm....I just might go that way eventually. Not the slides though So yours will be outstanding.

Wheels are built and slicks on in order to check fitment and clearance for pending cuts. Had the centers refinished.
For future reference (if anyone else embarks on this), the sizes are as follows:
18 x 9f ET 45
18 x 11r ET 47
Re. factory RSR offsets and individual fit on this car I'll probably end up using 3-6mm spacers on both ends to get things perfect.
Will post pics tomorrow

Matt I don't man............
Knowing what Rob spent on it and now your additions, could you have not just bought a real one by now? Not dis'ing what you're doing by any means. Guess at my age and with kids always in tow, I look for the quickest most economical way to do things
I'll just have to live vicariously through your continued efforts My 914 rest that's been going on since I bought it in Sept of '09 is still in body work faze (should be ready for paint soon). Should have just bought one done 3 years ago...........been driving it now (which is what I originally bought one for).
