i had the opportunity to drive Ruby a bit the other day.
WOW
even with somewhat sketchy rubber, (corded rear A6s) it was plain how different Adams car is from mine.
Ruby's nose is much more pointy than "Iris's", (not really my car's name, but it's easier to type than <my car>.
The front strut bar, grippy rubber, Dialed in P10s and wheel spacers make for a 993 that does not understeer at sane speeds.
I really like the LWF responsiveness, not enough to replace my 35K clutch assembly, but this upgrade seems like the proverbial "no brainer" if you need to replace one on a 96 - 98 993.
Can't comment on the rear subframe bushing mod since the rear was so loose, loose to the point of wanting to go sideways as i drove past a Toyota transpo appliance on a FWY on ramp.
and of course it is very clean underneath now...........
Adam is deservedly very happy now.
The amazing thing to me?
This was his first engine / tranny drop in any type of vehicle other than MX bikes.
Talk about jumping into the deep end and losing your virginity with with such a tightly packaged car as a 993 4S!

Drifting
^^^As Steve's found out, Moose seriously thinks he's a lap dog. He likes to try and lay on top of you when you're on a creeper in Adam's garage. Damn hard to work with 70 lbs of dog laying on your torso.

What a great blast from the past, this was a fun project and glad I documented the process. The number of views it has gotten over the years is shocking. Yes, I have not been around rennlist that much the last couple years, life, kids, work has kept me plenty busy! I hope this thread has helped some over the years.
