Default 911 guy drives a new 2017 Panamera 4S

I'm a long time 911 driver and, in over 35 years, I have never found another car that satisfies me the way 911's do. But yesterday I got to drive the new generation Panny 4S. Short drive, but enough to get on it a bit and see if such a big car can really be sports car like. All I can say is WOW!! For anyone who is thinking they may need something a little bigger that still has a sports car soul, this is the ticket. Fast, comfortable, nimble, glued to the road and something not seen on past Panameras - good looking.
Porsche got it right on this one - I'm definitely impressed.

I love the way the spoiler deploys and closes on that car! So cool - it changes shape and angles depending on speed. Wish I could retrofit it on my GTS

I really, really want to replace my Wife's Cayenne Diesel with a Panny Sport Turismo.

$$$.

Maybe if we end up getting a buyback on the Cayenne, but not looking likely now.

I'd settle for a Panny 4S if we get a buyback. True first world problems. Have a Cayenne Diesel, want a 911 but a Panny 4S is the right thing to do. Need to sell my Mercedes Cabriolet. Whoa is me....

The new Panny is very cool. Even the V6 with the, ahem, Audi engine.

There's a very good chance I'll be on the market for one of these in two to three years. Just about the time that the first wave will be coming off-lease!

Ouch - looks like the spec I want would run something like $135K or so. Glad I don't mind buying used.

I've actually had a chance to drive the panamera 4S on the track at PEC LA and it was awesome. the rear steering makes it feel more the size of an M3 or a slightly longer 911 Turbo vs a big long sedan.

love it. ordering myself a sport turismo

Gotta love the wagon!

The first time I drove a first gen Panny Turbo, I was shocked. Compared to an M5 or E63, it blew them both in the weeds. I can't imagine the leap forward the new car is.
