Please tell him to order more than one set as I'll be contacting him as well. Glad to hear that this is finally getting sorted out!

An even more interesting option is the rear seat carpet from a 911R

Agreed. No GTS embroidery -- it could be a solution for all 991 owners.

Who is going to badger Sunset and Suncoast for this? I've tried with both but neither seems particularly interested in finding and sourcing the parts.

Have you tried contacting Gert at Carnewal.com? Gert is located in Belgium and has been a great source for Euro parts for Porsche's for years.

Hmmm. What are they "looking" for? If you have an OE Part #, then you can order from any authorized parts source. If you just go to some of the online parts sites for Porsche and search you should find it listed. Example: http://porsche.partswebsite.com/oemp...101781A75.html.

Perhaps what they are "looking" for is an estimated availability date for delivery? Some of the lesser-known/demanded parts are not restocked very often, and can take a few months from my experience.

Good luck!

The only interior parts I see on that site are steering wheel related. No carpets or seats!

Not sure what you're looking-at, but that link takes you directly to the AS Carpet SKU 991 551 017 81 A75 (A75 is code for black) that was posted earlier on this thread as what Suncoast is "looking for." Not saying the site is ideal, but a very quick search and they list the part # and the price seems right in comparison to the previous post....

My point being that if the SKU exists, you can order it. Why Suncoast won't is beyond me, unless as I stated previously they don't want to order something without clearly understanding availability. For example I ordered a rear logo placement template holder and even though the order was processed, afterwards I found-out that there was a 6 month wait maybe longer until the part would be manufactured again! Who knows. But those part #'s definitely exist out there... the part #'s are even in the official PAG parts "katalog" for the 991 series.

Makes sense, but how do you know it is the right part # without a picture?

Maybe someone will order the part numbers listed and report out on what they receive 🙄

Here is my latest communication:

I am having problems finding a way to order the GTS in a different color and I am not sure if all that is needed is those 3 parts or not.

The three parts make sense, large cover for where the seat bottoms lived and plastic covers for upper belt mounting points on two sides. I wonder if the large plastic pieces under the side windows need to be changed as well. The outside hinge location needs to be covered, at a minimum, as well as the "post" that holds the seat back in the up position.

I can't wait for someone to do the conversion and report out

subscribed. Would be interested more for the look. Weight savings would be a plus. Although still find it baffling that removing some tiny seat cushions can shed 20 lbs...
