THANK YOU for all this comparison of the various 991 options . Most comprehensive write up I have seen to date . Nice to confirm that I ordered ALL I of the "right" options without having driven the options . I am in India and my GTS is docking soon in San Diego . Will be awaiting my return in Beaverton Oregon in August . The GTS is the finest car for daily use that Porsche has produced to date . SO HAPPY that I am able to afford this magnificent automobile

Sorry to hear OMG. This is very disappointing for you and everyone else who is waiting.
I’ve been keeping my head in the sand, hoping the PTS problem was restricted to the RS. My GTS was scheduled for mid-November. If now delayed by 3 months that puts it back to mid-Feb. I suppose I won’t now have to worry about a winter wheel/tyre solution.
Hang on, if production of 991.1 finishes at the end of this year, am I actually going to get a car? Time to call OPC…

Was told at the same time that:
- 991.2 (or whatever it will be called) will be announced at Frankfurt motor show on 17 September;
- that 991.1 GTS production will continue at least until some point in 1st quarter 2016; and
- that revisions to Boxster and Cayman will be announced (not sure if this is also at the Frankfurt show).

Mine was 15th September start date and 18th October completion date, looking at delivery around end of October/start November.
It appears from the info my OPC gave me that the build of a PTS car takes around a month.
Happy you have good news but interested and slightly concerned about my news.
Reuben the computer was also showing my build was on schedule but a phone call unfortunately revealed in reality the car has moved back to a January completion date.

OMG, it's a build date (start of). I was given 6th Nov and was told that it would take about 2 weeks to complete and that delivery was possible by the end of Nov. I'm new to the marque so maybe I'm being naive. BTW, I was told this info came from'Vehicle Planning'.
When I ordered in early May, I was given a September build which within a week moved out to October and then November.

One possible reason for the delay is too many builds were allocated to October and the excess has been postponed to January so that November and December remain on schedule? (assuming of course that Puf and myself don't experience any delays)

I've finally heard back from my SA. The latest order tracking (as of July 29) shows that my build date has been delayed by 3 weeks: now entering the body shop on Dec 4.
Puf and OMG, have your build dates changed?

I've just heard today that my car is delayed and that the new build date is scheduled for Dec 4. Co-incidence or what? Reuben, our cars could be twins.

I checked my build last week and its still mid January. Not expecting it to change. I've waited 5 months already, so whats another 5?.....(**** nearly a year).
Main problem now is I have the GT3 bug and I can get one of them anytime...
