I would imagine his phone is ringing off the hook with offers from other networks around the world. Can the BBC really afford to **** away the $150 mil that TG generates?
In today's ultra pc world, he's a breath of fresh air.

So he smacked some guy who screwed up their food order upside the head! And???
What should he have done, give him a time out in the corner and not "bully" him?
The guy probably had it coming to him. I'm sure not the first screw up he's had.

I don't condone violence or prejudice but I do enjoy watching three blokes being idiots, however contrived, which is the reason Top Gear has been so successful (IMH&HO)... and remember the viewing figures for those remaining shows (which WILL be aired) will be even higher thanks to this... 'bad' publicity?

Ha! Well, I'm pretty confident that my sense of humor isn't too impaired and I'm totally fine with politically incorrect humor all day long. But I think Jeremy Clarkson's thing has become a bit of a schtick: he's playing a character when he used to just be himself. I've read his newspaper columns and watched Top Gear for almost twenty years and he just seems to have become a little over the top, like he thinks people expect him to act a certain way.
That said, I've watched every episode of Top Gear, so I suppose I don't dislike him too much. And three guys acting like idiots is pretty compelling TV.

Where did I read 350 million people around the world watch Top Gear every week??? Lol.
It's just smoke and mirrors. He's their cash cow and money makes the world go round.
Even Harris said he wouldn't even think of attempting his own television show in the UK because what's the point?
He'll be back.

Apparently, it was over a steak https://uk.tv.yahoo.com/jeremy-clark...101523982.html .
At least it wasn't over hot dogs!

Have to ring in again...
because if the press account of the reason for JC's suspension is right, although JC to me is very entertaining and often informative, his behavior regarding the steak is simply not acceptable. Whether or not he actually assaulted the producer is less important than his poor demeanor. Very probably most of us have gotten into or back to our hotel after a long day of travel or business only to learn that the kitchen closed. If this happened to you did you rant and get demanding of the hotel staff or your colleagues and act like a spoiled brat? Very probably not. One accepts things the way they are and finds a way to get what we want without any drama or insults to anyone. Bottom line, if the accounts are accurate, is that JC displayed especially bad form in any society, much less GB.
Perhaps JC has staged the entire episode with the steak to get publicity. I have no doubt that he could find willing backing and production assistance from other groups because the TG format and personalities are so popular. That is, of course assuming that he has no restrictive covenant non-compete or disclosure contract. I support his continued participation in a TG-like program with his two partners, but would expect a mea culpa from him at that point. Or perhaps he really is a dick, in which case his popularity will wane.

It won't be the first/last time two guys got into it!
Usually over worse things! Ha ha.
Who knows what went down exactly or what words were exchanged.
All pretty entertaining as usual.
