Default Who has Black/Red interior? Pics? Regrets? Too red?

I'm about to pull the trigger on a 911 order. I'm almost sure that I want the two-tone Black/Red interior with Agate Gray exterior.

Does anyone here have the Black/Red leather?

What do you think? Do you regret not getting a more neutral color? Do you think you'll get tired of it after a while?

And last, any pics? It looks really good in the configurator. I'm not sure I trust the few pictures google has found.

I have that exact same colour combo, and I think the black/red interior is the best option I got for my car! it looks fantastic.

Another 928'r drifting over . Was curious myself and found pics below on Google. Some Carbon Fiber bits mixed in would soften it up a bit and kick with that Agate Gray exterior.02 T

I really like the red/black. To me it is a classic combination that goes way back to the early days of sports cars. I do not believe that I'll tire of it either. All red would have been too much for me though. I'm glad Porsche started offering the two tone red/black in the lesser 911 models for 2015. Prior to that it was only available in the turbos.

Yeah. I want a non-boring DD that I don't have to fix myself.

Those aren't the two-tone...

... but those are. Thanks for those car25.

This is what my selection looks like on the configurator. But, I suspect that it is a brighter red in person and your pics confirm this.

I'd want deviated black carpet, though. Is that how it's set up now?

Black carpet is a no cost option on the Turbo S and a $710 deviating option on all other 911 models except the GTS.

I'm good with black floor mats on red carpet. I will have black weather tech full liners to keep flotsam and jetsam from getting ground into the carpet.

I just purchased a black/red convertible. I think it looks great and have received a lot of compliments on the combo. The only downside is you have more cleaning on the leather.

I have a black cabrio with red leather interior and I think it's a really sharp combination. I was taken aback at first, also asking, "is it too red". I've grown to love it though and it makes the car distinctive from most others I see.

I wish I had some black on the floor to set off the red but I'll have to do that with a set of floor mats (OEM mats are red) . If I find a set of black Porsche mats with red Porsche logo and stitching, I'll order then on the spot.

Tim

I did on my 991 C4S.

Loved it. Compliments galore.

Many of us think it looks great...but trust to your own intuition and gut feeling on it!

Well stated. That is the way I would order it! But it's all personal choice.

Yes...first appeared as a two tone option on the new MY2014 911 Turbo S and has now been extended to some of the other 991 models. It was introduced with 'Carrera Red' leather & carpeting, which has morphed into the similar hue called 'Garnet Red'. For a bit more of the story and background on this dual tone, see post #215 at the link below:

Default Two Tone 'Black/Garnet Red'...

Deleted previous wording because it was exact duplicate of post 13! Will add extra photos to make better use of this space!
