Default Thoughts on the aerokit 'ducktail' for the GTS?

I am thinking about ordering a GTS and wanted a little extra in the appearance package. I've heard lots of early whining about the 'cheap looking' and 'plastic' slats covering the engine, plus I have always liked the subtle look of a P ducktail. I know $2K isn't very smart shopping, but in the big picture...Also is anyone aware of any issues, like with high speed handling, compared with the normal pop up unit which I'm sure has been thoroughly vetted in the wind tunnel.

It's a great aesthetic/functional piece and personally think it would awesome on the GTS. No issues with anything. That too has been tested and made to work with the GTS front Sport Design Bumper for aerodynamics.

It's actually not even recommend without the Sport Design Bumper.

From Larry's photos, the black engine cover/spoiler/louvre looks great. Ducktail is always nice, too, though. And you'll save some rear weight and take advantage of the fact that it's only $2k to get the ducktail on the GTS (since the front sportsdesign fascia is already included).

Love it!
I would install it after delivery so you dont loose a center console button. I hate all those blanks!
It would be cheaper too.

Adding it after the fact is more expensive. If you want it, order it now. The duck alone in primer is more than what you can add it on now for complete.

Plus programming, paint, install, new button console. Alot of extra $$!!

I personally prefer the regular back end. So I would not. However, if you do like the duck tail as others have said, now is the time to do it.

I have the ducktail on my C4S.

I think it really completes the look of the rear of the 911.
