Just looked at those cab pics. Appears to be a lot of hoopla over very minor changes. Had a guy in a 997 the other day ask me if I was driving a Turbo. It's an S. He said it sure was loud.
Cool about a facelift but 95% of 991 owners won't even notice. The only thing I'm interested in hearing about is the 40 hp. If they do it with only a tune I will like to know how the x51 guys think about that.

I fearlessly predict: It will come in both 2wd and 4wd versions. Both will have the wide body from the 4 series. It will have alcantara with the GTS contrasting red stitching and seat belts as standard interior, and leather optional. It will have the X51 engine kit, +30 hp = 430 hp. It will come with center lock wheels. Will 5-bolt wheels be available as an option? I SURE HOPE SO! Sport chrono will be standard, as will sport exhaust (both are part of X51). Will it have the present sport exhaust or the new "semi-GT3" exhaust (pipes close together, but not right in middle like GT3) that we've seen in spy photos? Good question. Personally, I wouldn't expect Porsche to create a whole new exhaust system for the car, so I'm betting on standard (pipes at the corners) exhaust.
Put another way, I predict it will be the same as the 50th, with center locks, different body styles and 4wd available, minus the 50th paint colors and pepita interior scheme.
I'll be at LA and I hope to see it there.

I agree. If you look at the 997.2 GTS and cross it with the 991 50th edition, I think you're looking at the next GTS.

Agreed. That 370Z exhaust, fugly levolour intakes and gross rear grill would have to include the GT3 power train at base Carrera prices or I'm not interested.

most of my friends who own newer 911 coupes or cabs who wouldn't know a 997.1 from a 997.2 from a 991 and couldn't care less. Many drive their cars once in a blue moon . Haven't seen neighbor's 997 cab ( two doors over ) in months out of the garage . He would think its a massive waste of time reading car dweeb sites like this !
