Wow. From some angles it looks simply like a bigger 997, but from other angles it looks downright strange: like a Lotus Elise that ate the wrong sort of mushroom.

i agree, despite the much expected increase in wheelbase the rear over hang is still there. Is it possible that its BIGGER????
i do like the mirrors on the doors rather than the pillers. Also i am hopeful of trigger style door handles.

The 991 in those spy pictures seemed to look like a stretched version of the 997...

If it were a BMW, it would be called 911Li.

Any recent pics of the interior? Last I saw, it looked like a Panamera interior - which I don't think complements a 911. Might work on a Maserati.

The rear wing raised gives a kind of Turbo wing look. Also, it's interesting that the rear engine vents have an indent around them on the rag top, but not on the coupe. I'm so used to the 4 vent slats on the 997 that 3 slats on the 991 looks kind of strange to me, it needs one more vent slat.

The character line running from the door handle ton the front fender seems legit, and interesting. The rear wheels seems larger than the front. I'm sure it will be a nice evolution and the interior will be incredible.

Wow, guys. I know it is pretty routine for owners of prior gen 911's to not have a " wow feel" for the next iteration. But I must say, I really am not seeing it on this one. Looks strange. One thing for sure, the interior will be stunning.

From interior spy shots I saw, the center looked similar to a Carrera GT or 918 Syder...and also Panamera...so when I see it, I'll choose to think of the CGT and 918 references and not think about Panamera.

The mirrors and rear end look great though - of course, add some bumperettes and, then, who knows...

Am I missing something? Perhaps it is just a reflection...I don't see any character lines.
