GT3 - RS GREEN

Eduardo (anyone) - what is the color code of Signal Green? and RS Green?
#33
'RS Green' was 2D8. It was specifically formulated for the 2007 gt3 RS. Then it was allowed to be ordered PTS by others staring in MY2008...plus PAG did some special editions Cayman S Sports in that color. Since the 991 era, it remained as a PTS. It is now simply called 'Green' or 'grün' in German. 'Viper Green' is a different color from 'Signal Green'. The attached photo (#1) was taken by me at 'Porsche Exclusive' in Zuffenhausen in 2013 while I was discussing with advisors a future 'Signal Green' custom order. Pay attention to the titles that Porsche has put on their own color samples. There is no mention of 'Porsche Green'. Caveat lector.

PS
a) Photo # 2 is of '22S' Signal Green 991S currently for sale at Porsche of San Diego.
b) Photo #3 is of my 'W25' Signal Green .1 997.
c) Photo #4 is a side by side shot of my 'W25' Signal Green vs a factory 2D8 'Green' gt3 RS.
d) Photo #5 is description of color formula for 2D8.
f) Photo # 6. We have no confirmation yet (to my knowledge) of the Austrian 991 gt3 we saw in photos.

Eduardo, what's your best guess for the color in the OP? I wasn't a fan of most greens before but now I think that's the best looking 991gt3 I've ever seen. Just stunning.

The forum is having trouble posting photos now. I'll add them later, but first let me include the text response.
The 'Signal Green' currently approved for PTS by someone that wanted it ordered that particular formula is Color Code '22S'. My favorite Porsche formula for 'Signal Green' is color code 'W25'. It has more yellow tint than the other formulas. I had a MY2007 Carrera S in that particular PTS color. There is another Porsche version of 'Signal Green' with code '217'. That has even more blue tint.

'Green/2D8'. That is the bright green color most recently offered by the factory ('07/'08 gt3 RS, etc) and thus most familiar with potential customers for a PTS in that hue. So it's the 'safest' choice. But 'Viper' and 'Signal Green' are historic colors that have a great following among the 'Cognoscenti' of vintage 911's and will become more popular with current PTS customers as they get familiar with those particular tones of 'Green'. But the point is, I am not guessing that its 2D8 based on the photo shown by the OP. Camera lenses and filters can distort colors and not represent them as seen my the human eye in person!

Yes , the car in the background is a 4 RS. The photo was taken in Sept 2012 during the Porsche Days Zell am Zee. It was a long weekend event based in Zell which is the Porsche family home. The owner of the 4 RS was allowed spec the car in Viper Green as he has bought more than 20 new Porsches in the past 40 yrs.
Re my Colour, my car was UK supplied and the Official PCGB designation of my green is Porsche Green. I did not get a paint code as it 's listed as 999 on the spec sheet and on the build label which is PTS.

this has to be my most absolute favorite color on the gt3 next to the orange...
i never understood the color's until i went to daytona and watched a green rs and orange rs fly by...
i was like... i get it... those colors are awesome....
my local dealer had a 07 rs signal green pop up for sale for 99k brand new leftover back in 2010.. i thought it was priced a little high compared to some used 2010 gt3's going for 105k.... i passed on it...
ill never know why... as i grew to love that car the most....
