For the 991 GT3: Which Blue? Mexico vs Riviera vs Maritime vs Vodoo, etc.
I have been sweating my color selection overnight. My allocation came about quickly and I need to act quickly. My fall back position is white, which I think is really a no brainer on this car. But my current .2 GT3 is white, and I am trying to mentally push myself to do something a bit more interesting
As much as I really love viper green, signal yellow, pastel orange, etc... I am worried that over a period of months or years, I might feel like they are a bit too much for driving every week (this will not be a daily driver, but weather allowing I drive it every weekend). More show car or track only colors.
So I am trying to settle into a blue. I feel that it will be interesting/fits the car, but not quite as over the top. Problem now is which blue! I have done some searches, and there are a couple of long threads on blue colors on the 993 board and other places, but I haven't really seen enough GT3s in these colors to make a final decision.
Any pictures, personal experiences, opinions, are welcomed! Based on what PTS colors are available according to my dealer, I have narrowed down to Mexico, Riviera, Maritime, or Vodooo. I feel that they are oh so very close that deciding becomes even more difficult. I know the first two are lighter than the last two. Opinions? Pics? THANKS!

I have my opinion locked in an order for Oct production.. But keeping it a secret until some pictures will reveal the result :P
Have you got confirmation of your PTS slot ? From what I read its only Oct/Nov slots which will make it

I'm in the UK and have a November build and have been told "no chance" for PTS, so seems you are lucky. I was thinking of the same blues and have a picture that might help. I have seen a Mexico Blue 4.0RS in the metal and it looked stunning. The pic below is of two sample cards, Maritime Blue and Riviera Blue sitting on a Mexico Blue background. Not much between Riviera and Mexico. I would have gone Mexico if I had been able to! Going to have to "settle" for Guards Red.....

those pictures are hugely helpful, thanks 10RMV.
Mexico is how I was leaning too... sort of the middle road between really light and darker... Voodoo is cool but I'm not crazy about the purple undertones...
The .2 RS in aqua blue looked really cool also, I saw that car in flesh, and it was awesome also in a bit more "traditional" blue.
White is safest, but then there is the white metallic... ugh. Yes, ranger 22 is right, feeling a little fickle on this decision. Options have been easier for me :-)

Riviera Blue is too light for my taste. Mexico Blue is a pretty easy selection, as it looks great. However, I love the darker blues. I have not seen Maritime or Voodoo in person but I really like both of them in pictures. Maritime looks like it ca go to the purple in certain light, so for that reason I would go Voodoo Blue. I would love to see a 991 GT3 in this color.
