I hope he didn't leave, one of the handful of posters I find most valuable and respectable.

deviating stitching
$2000 for one set of tires
how much PTS is worth

pete is around. but likely too busy doing real work

Good man,but I can answer that :

(Yellow dev+UV+CF)x 2+LWBxPTS=RSx2MSRP

I don't really blame him if he did get pissed off!
A while back I read this thread on the 991 forum
dating from 9/2015 & I was shocked by the
treatment Pete got from some of the Rennlist
members & users. You can judge for yourself...
but be warned that it's a long thread!

https://rennlist.com/forums/991/8932...-analysis.html

The discussion started to get off the rails
starting on post #30 on the second page:

https://rennlist.com/forums/991/8932...nalysis-2.html

I am often myself surprised at the 'disrespect'
that is found in some of the discourse at our
Rennlist forums. And there is a limit to what
valuable contributors will put up with before
deciding it's not worth it. I hope that is not
the case with Pete Vd...but we need to admit
that, from time to time, we should examine
more closely the lack of civility in some of
our forum exchanges!

My dos centavos, for what it's worth.

Clearly learned a lot from his educated posts. Would love to see him back.

I don't always agree with Pete's views, but def respect the effort and logic that goes into his posts. Hope he comes back as well. Seemed to stop posting right around the time he got his GT4...hopefully that means he is enjoying the car (as opposed to being disappointed in the car and dropping off the forum).

Fascinating thread though. Certainly content rich, if you wade through the BS.
