what do you guys have planned for upgrades ? almost off-season in the northeast, I'm planning -

camber adjustment - what would you recommend with stock control arms ?

Definitely do the Giro's you won't be disappointed. Funny you and I have Black Spyders but I have a red 951.

I'm planning Clearplex for the windshield and for now that's about it. I may also change out the battery for something lighter.

The Porschemesh is excellent, I installed a set shortly after buying my car and the radiator fins look nearly perfect. I did a quick inspection the other day and the debris is limited to a couple of grasshoppers.

Is there a reason not to upgrade to adjustable LCA? I thought that was the only way to get more negative camber out of these cars.

The wheel stud conversion is a pretty good idea. I wonder if I should try it...

Wheel studs do make life easier. I have the ones from Apex, a sponsor here.

I would not add the mesh - it does limit air flow. If you have a PDK car, it will make it run hot.

I'd replace the master cylinder before adding new rotors. GT3 brake ducts for the front are easy.

Girodisc rotors are awesome! Once the master cylinder, brake lines, and fluid are upgraded.

GT3 lower control arms in the front are needed to get adequate negative camber.

I thought 1.5 degrees negative would be adequate for the monthly track day, what are you guys doing ? 2 degrees all around ?

getting tired of cleaning leaves, cigarette butts and dead birds out of the nose, funny the porschemesh website is full of testimonials about not increasing temps.

I like the clearplex idea too, $$ ?

I'm running -2.8 in the front and maxed out on stock with -2.4 in the rear. However, I'm running NT01 R comp tires.

Depending on your skill level, I would recommend -2.0 to -2.4 up front if you're running street tires.

I have the GT3 LCAs in front and run -2 deg camber front and rear. (Took 10mm shims per side for -2.) This works well for me on Yoko AD08R and Hankook RS3s. I drive 1 to 2-1/2 hr each way to local tracks. Plan to try the NT01s this spring.

I do not track, and the Spyder is the first sports car that I do not plan on doing any mods, especially to the suspension.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that the mesh grills decrease air flow and impair cooling. It is not as much a problem on the Gen 1 Caymans as their openings are larger. The mesh is great for protecting your radiators. But if you plan to track the car hard you will need a 3rd radiator AND the mesh grills.

I've got a set of brembo floating fronts with pagid pads that I would like to sell. They were used for 2 track sessions and about 200 street miles, so they are in very good shape and I will sell it all cheap.
