The rain finally stopped so we were able to take some better pictures which depict the gorgeous colour better.

Wow!Gorgeous.
I have to say, I've been through the pics of your wrapped 997 many, many times as I've considered doing similar to a future 997 or my current 964. Both cars are really stunning. Curious, what kind of premium, if any, did you pay above current 964 market prices for the Rubystone?

Beautiful Rubystone 964! Makes me want to wrap my boring slate grey car in something more exciting like Mexico Blue, Signal Yellow or Rubystone.

I'm rebuilding/repainting my car right now, and slate grey (well non-met slate) was my first choice but like you say it's a bit boring....

Looks awesome! Hopefully she gets sick of the rougher ride and wants to switch with you...right? I say that because I originally bought the 964 for my wife.

Good to see you kept both.

As asked in your other thread, is the car a 5MT or Tip? If it's a tip it would be disappointing however this would be one of very few cars where a conversion to manual would make sense.

This car is a tip. Because of the colour and that it is for my wife, we are ok with a tiptronic. If it was financially justifiable and an opportunity presents itself, we would definitely consider a conversion to manual. From what I understand, it would take a donor car to do it which would be difficult to come by.

If your car's manual is in Japanese like mine was, I got an English version from Weissach. It wasn't too expensive.

You don't need a donor car. Most parts can be sourced pretty easily from a wrecker.

IMHO, the value of this car is in its rare color and originality. If you start modifying it irreversibly - even from a tiptronic to a manual transmission - you might not see its value retained. If you don't care about values, then yes, go all in and swap out the transmission.

Bro! How are we ever going to sell these Tip Trans if you keep convincing people to make the switch!

Coming from Asia, I'm not surprised it's a tip. I'd leave it alone.
