Since it was above freezing out today...finally! I decided to tinker around with the 964. Today's install was a Fabspeed Cat bypass. It was a super easy install, fit the way it should and it felt good to work on my car again.

the two side by side, not much of weight savings that I noticed, maybe a few pounds
The new bypass in
I also replaced the hardware with new stainless steel bolts, washers and nuts. The old ones were pretty crusty.

Time to beautify the car a little. Ever since I bought it the spoiler had split right in the middle and also had a crack on the one side. So I got another one from Ebay.
crack in the middle
crack on the side, after I had already pulled it off
old and new to me, but also old
for some reason the one I bought looks a lot smaller
new one on with no cracks!
next up is saying bye bye to the mirrors, I had bought a set of aero mirrors on Ebay a while ago and since it is no longer absolute zero outside, I can finally install them.
the two side by side
At this step I got out my buffer and compounded most of the marks from the original mirror out. Then I hit it with a swirl remover and here we are
This could be interesting looking
I did actually put both on, just no pics of it out yet.

The spoilers crack by design*. Here's a 5pg thread of cracked 964 spoilers. Your cracked spoiler isn't trash, people repair them. Your replacement will probably crack too.

mine was pretty easy to fix. i removed the black faring at the front of the car under the bumper. There are a couple metal tabs that the lower section bolt to. I used my pliers and bent them down and re-attached everything. Good as new and didn't take long at all.
