Angry Ugh - Someone rear ended my cabrio - Update - Car fixed - See photos below.

Friday morning, someone rear ended my 964 cab on the highway. The car is drivable but I have damage to my rear bumper, engine cover, right rear fender, passenger door frame and the cab roof is no longer taught. Ugh.....

My fiance and I took the Rocket down to a body shop on Saturday. The owner gave us a tour. He has several 911's in his shop. He seems very qualified to fix it. He looked over the car and thought it was borderline totaled. We went home sad. I contacted my insurance company yesterday to arrange for an adjuster to come look at his. They said it may take 3-4 days. I must have been lucky, the adjuster called me and said that on first look its fixable. Horay! Yipee! He said they need to remove the bumper and other body panels to inspect for further damage. There is a glimmer of hope that the car is fixable!

Keep your fingers crossed!

I hate hearing about this stuff. Drivers are so distracted and sh!tty nowadays. I'm always paranoid about this when I have to slow down in traffic. I think I'm going to add another flasher module to my brake lights.

Ugh...that makes me sick. Hope it is repairable, I imagine you'd hate to lose it after all those years and miles!

Very sorry to hear this Rob! But glad that everyone is okay. Good luck with insurance and don't forget to go after a diminished value claim too. Let me know if I can help.

Sorry to hear the bad news. As ever, you sound optimistic and will use it as a challenge in some way.
How many miles do you have one this one?

Which bodyshop did you go to?

Jetta - My cab currently has 246K miles on it. About 10K since I changed the engine.
