The coilovers are H&R Street performance. Part number 29580, if I remember correct.

Seeing that my previous webhosting service shut down, I had to rely on good friends to hook me up with a new site.

Progress!

Had time to fit the rear coilovers this weekend.
Old vs. new:

Result atm.

Will fine tune the ride hight before booking it in for a wheel allignment.
Did some alterations by eye, and managed to loosen up the bolts. They were properly stuck after 20+ years. Did the caster up front, and just gave it max camber for fun.
Rear: With about 20mm of threads left, the ground to top of wheel arch measures 59.5 cm.
Front: About 25mm threads left, it measures 61cm.
I'm shooting for 59cm front and 60cm rear.

No rubbing, so i'm a bit dissapointed

looks great - would be interested to know how comfortable the ride is at that height?

I'm in the market for a set of coilovers and while i dont want to go quite as low as you have I wont be far off.

Thanks

Thanks! I haven't driven it long enough to give a full on review yet.
I've had KW and FK coilovers on my other cars, and they are definately softer than H&R. A buddy of mine had H&R on his Scirocco, and that car was mad stiff compared to my MK5 on FK's.
I'm used to drive on 35 profile tyres in the winter, therefore I'm not the guy to talk about comfort.

If you are after a more comfortable ride, I suppose I'd shell out on a set of KW v3's. There you have the adjustability of hard/soft settings.
However, they are way more expensive than the H&R setup I chose.

I'm by no means an expert on 964 and suspension setup. There are alot of guys on this forum with more experience.
In the future I may swap the suspension for a set of AH Exclusive or KW v3. At the moment, the parts list for service/repairs on my car is too long for "expensive" suspensionparts

So I had this strange squeeking sound from the Dashboard area.
Removed the upper dash panel, and boy, it was dirty under there. Cleaned everything up, Fixed the non-working glovebox light. Checked for anything loose.

Installed the dash panel, tightened everyting. Still the same noise.

Took another road trip to Sweden.

And finally installed the new AC condensor i had bought earlier.

Errythang hooked up With New O-rings. Next up, fit the AC drive belt, and recharge the system. Hopefully no leaks.

All done for now.
Oh, and the todo-list just got a little longer.
The oil cooler is in a sorry state.

Looing nice and loooooow!

Is it the dash centre vent squeeking maybe? Also, was the 10mm nut in place behind the dash, or had someone removed this to make instal / removal of the dash easier?

Thanks!
I removed the centre vent, and drove around without it. Still squeeking. And yeah, the 10mm nut was there. Must be the windshield then. I suppose.

Went for a little shoot with my old 8mpix compact camera.
Here is the results.

Still waiting for my appointment at the allignment shop.

Yesterday i did a little mod that has been bothering me for quite a while. When looking in the rear view mirror, the reflection from the parcelshelf was all i could see. It was covered in some kind of light green alcantara-look fabric.
So I decided to redo it in black.
Before:

I also decided to remove the rear speakers. They were totally shot. Will see if i fit some aftermarket ones at a later stage. Music is really not important when listening to that nice engine note.

Here is the result:

Oh, and I removed the rear seat belts aswell. Saved them in my OEM-bin for retrofit if I ever get kids, or the next owner wants them.
Much cleaner looking now.

I'm not 100% happy. Will redo it with some sound deadening material, just to get it straight. There is a slight hint of some dimples where the speakers and the seat belt holes were.
Next up is installing a 3rd LED brake light on the inside. I'll fix the shelf at that time, seeing I need to remove it again to get to the signal wires underneath.

So after getting some ridiculous quotes for paint, I decided to paint the mirrors and door handles myself.
They came out quite good. A nice buffing, and the will be Perfect.

Drying time.

One side ready. Excuse the filthy car.

Other side is due today.

Very nice

993 handles and aero mirrors make such a big difference to the lines of the 964.
