No, he asked me what I thought he could sell it for and I told him the price of the JZM car (blue).
But I did find the car for him initially and advised him on saving a similar amount 3 years ago to what he has sold the car to me for! So in this case - Fair is Fair!
Looking forward to getting it out on the road and a London Meet-up.

If it's the one I'm thinking of it's black with gold E28s, or mint green with silver E88s?

Looking back at what I've spent over 6 years, I could have bought an RS by now. But! There's no way I could afford the outright cost, and I wouldn't have had so much fun building something bespoke to my warped sense of driving pleasure.

I think you're doing something a lot of us would dream to do. I've said it before, and I'll say it again an original NGT/ Cup car is my holy grail. You can't modify an RS, so you buying a 964 you can modify as a second 964 will be awesome.

You'll effectively have a '90s monster of a 964: the NGT. And a 21 century monster 964 built to your spec. Best of both worlds. If what my interpretation of what you're doing is correct of course!

If you're planning engine mods - give me a bell, it be a pleasure to help

Frank
That is it in a nutshell, having been fortunate and bought several RS's cheaper than this, to be 964. It has meant by selling one RS it covers purchase price on all my current cars. So a privalidge place to start!

Intend to return the N- GT back to its heyday of early 90's condition (new) still use it for occasional track and sprints.
But emulate most on here with a Q 964 Car.
By the way it's the No1 Jasmine / Black car with welded cage & E28's Yum!
Will upload and start a thread once I get 'The Metal Ghuru' home!

Just goes to show high mileage (147k) is no barrier to top price for a C2. £34,900 @JZM

Strange - at 24 years and 147k miles, that's not high mileage. It's an alarming total compared to many new cars, but this one is over 24 years old...so they are not 'hard' miles as such.

So, my question is: Is 200k the new 100k psychological barrier between 'normal' and 'high' mileage? I think I would feel more resistent over 160k, but would buy up to that quite hapily.

blah blah "depends on condition", just querying first step in thought process...does 200k make you go 'hang on a minute'...

Good question - I did read that each mile on the ring would be the equivalent stress and strain on your car to 10 miles road miles.
So a low mileage Ring Taxi with 20k miles would be the equivalent to the 200k barrier.
So I guess it depends on the history, service, upkeep and use a car has endured.

If it was a 993 that mileage would be a killer. In fact it would be easier to get rid of a resistant STD than sell a 993 with over 100k for top price

It all depends on what becomes the "norm". A few years ago, very few cars went over 100k miles, so you wouldn't want one that had. Nowadays, a lot do go over 100k, so it is acceptable in our minds to have one that has exceeded this threshold. As more and more go beyond 200k, the mental barrier will reduce and we'll be happy to buy such a car.
