I'm Prototype Shop manager at an aircraft antenna manufacturer. I design and fabricate tooling and build antenna prototypes. I also maintain and repair the owner's race cars: Lotus 23 and Formula Ford. It is a fun job since there is always something new to do.

I am Chief Operating Officer and a majority shareholder of Telmon, Inc., a telecommunications/network infrastructure installation company. Started out about 15 years ago with the CEO (who is the other majority shareholder) after we got burned working for a small shop in Minneapolis. We figured "gee, how hard can it be?" HA! Joke was on us, altho we are still around, and have employees working throughout the US.

Ex-bartender, sawmill owner, body shop grunt, heavy equipment operator, lumberjack, professional firefighter/paramedic. Quit that last job and went to medical school in 1990, have been a Family Practice Physician since 1997. Most days I love my work, not too fond of being on call. I have a great shop with a paint booth, I hardly ever get to go in there anymore. I plan on taking a vacation soon just so I can install my SFR exhaust and retension the timing and balance shaft belts I put in last winter. Full time dad to my 6 year old son, that's the best job I've ever had.

Ex Guinea Pig breeder (both rough and smooth haired varieties), then diversified into lambs and calves during the latter primary school years. My aspirations to play cricket for Australia took over at this stage, but the teenage growth phase played havock with my once inpenitrable defence. With my father threatening to buy the dairy farm next door, i studied feverishly in maths and science and developed in interest in aircraft. During high school work expierence as an aeronautical engineer i came to the realization that we didn't design planes in australia, we were just buying F18 kits from the USA and gluing them together or doing stress analysis on 747 tail flaps, so ended up becoming a software engineer instead, mainly in aerospace with some 3G telco and .net contracting in the mix.

Software developer for a wireless telecoms company, sms gateways and the like. The real reason I work here is the big fat bandwidth (pretty scarce in Africa) that lets me read Rennlist and surf the web in between bouts of incredibly concentrated, productive work (just in case the Boss reads this)
