Headlight motor delete
Hey guys I did a search and came up with a few threads on the topic but didn't see many alternatives. Looking to remove all my headlight motor/bars ect. wondering what solutions some have come up with?
I need to get the car inspected soon so I need a better or want a more permanent solution then zip ties.
I like Vt951 solution but haven't heard back from him to see if he has any more brackets or will have any more.
I do want to keep the flip up lights though, no gt mod.
TIA
Rob

Thanks, but that post is 7 years old not sure if any kit was ever made? Also I would like no electronics.
I really like Vt951s kit but I can't get a hold of him to find out if he makes them anymore, so I will see what else I can do I guess.

I was kind of thinking of making a DIY mechanical up/down system.
Modeled on the concept of how this "lid support" works, a slot for a bolt to slide through and you tighten it down in either up/down position (maybe a simple wing nut?)
Could make a bracket that attaches to the existing holes in the frame for the current headlight pivot brackets (black horseshoe shaped things)

If you need his contact info, just send me a PM.

just a thought, you don't want to just fix them? I took a trip to the junkyard and got everything I needed after an accident. Check this out if you're interested:

Before I got my car the PO was going to track the car and pulled the motor. So I don't have one
The car is also a little tiny bit tweaked in the frame rail that the motor bracket attaches too.
So I thought these brackets would be a bit easier to work with then getting the factory lights to work properly. Plus I would like the weight reduction/and to clean up the bay.

Well I ended up pulling a motor and bracket from another car. Bolted it right up and the headlights move up and down fine..
Would still love the brackets but nobody has gotten back to me in a month or so..
