Too bad I don't have car trailer. The Suburban 2500 with the Dana 60 QS rear end is a beast of a tow vehicle. Might have to use the truck, but we want to drive the 928.
"I think we'd all forgive you if you came up in the Suburban w/QUADRASTEER, but this will certainly give your family a memorable experience, and give us all a great campfire story."

Here's an image depicting the immediate Camp 928 environment. Note that the Pine Tree Motel has 8 (?) cabins (one bed) and 8 (?) rooms in a traditional motel unit (two beds). My property provides a choice of tenting areas. The studio building and basement of the house will be open to all (two bathrooms). Alex and child has dibs on the remote cabin.
There are properties of various kinds on the shore of Loon Lake and neighboring lakes. Contact me if you'd like me to check one out. Seeking family forgiveness for your 928 obsession? A week in an Adirondack lakeshore cabin might do the trick!
Do the Google Map thing yourself: 192 White Schoolhouse Rd, Chestertown, NY 12817

Very good, Paul. Will there be one car full of beer, and another of wine? Another new registrant is Pete Krassas.
For those considering camping out on my grounds, I should mention I have three good tents available, and some cots. Two full bathrooms available. You'll be comfortable, and you will not be imposing at all - my wife is looking forward to Camp 928 (and has the house as an escape; me, too). I need this "camp" thing validated, so let's have some true campers.
At the moment, 12 cars have officially registered at camp928.com, three others have said "yes" (please register), and 9 have said "maybe". Count half the maybe's, and that's 20 - with 83 days to go. Plenty of 928 experts, too.

We're all going to enjoy the international flavor of this gathering.
For those of us in "the states", here is something to read about one of the two languages spoken in Canada: http://www.newyorker.com/culture/cul...nadian-english

I was planning on coming, Curt, but my daughter's high school graduation is that Saturday. I don't understand their priorities, but apparently the culmination of 12 years of schooling is more important that drinking with you guys.

That's too bad, Shawn. What if you came without your car, so she could use it to go to the post-graduation parties?
I was holding the Presidential Cabin at the Pine Tree open for you. Guess I can let Greg Brown have it now. Greg? I was just kidding about the bonfires - are you coming?

Here's the current status, 75 days out: We have 15 cars formally registered, 2 others have said "yes" and there are 9 "maybes". The Official Attendance Predictor says we'll have 37.1 cars.
The Pine Tree is booked up, which is remarkable. One party has booked the Panther Mountain Inn, another the Birchwood Cottages. I wish I knew more about all the little places around here. The local Chamber of Commerce lists everything here: http://northwarren.com/index/lodging
I've got my own car re-assembled and some much-needed cleanup is underway. Arrangements are being arranged according to the master schedule. Snow is melting, behind schedule.

While I wish everyone joy in attendance, as a procrastinator I would welcome a P.M should someone have to cancel out of more posh accommodations.
But I may get one of those tailgate tents for my Jeep & take that if I continue to procrastinate on my 928 projects. ;-)
Car is dark blue, not black....wish that bra wasn't on there.

There may be a vacancy, now or soon, for the Pine Tree. More posh than most tents. There's a "glamping" operation a few miles away...
I went to the Tri-Lakes Business Alliance meeting this morning. Among other things, I arranged to move the Friday night Car Hop to the Panther Mountain Inn for us. A couple guys are staying there (not posh, but OK). Small town stuff. I had my car displayed once between an El Camino and a Ranchero. Feel free to enter, but cars with engine compartments you can't see through to the ground are at a disadvantage.
