Default Louvers / Strosek hoods

The Strosek hood with bulge in the middle i make a simuilar copy . and when you cut a hole in the middle over the top off the inlet because the rear of the bulge is open and that aera is negitve the air flows out easeily.

I did this on my S4. It does let a lot of heat out from under the hood.

Of course this is on a spare hood for a race car.

functonal.. any further forward and you get positive pressure (good for intake) and any further rearward and you get inlet air too because of a positive pressure zone as you approach the rear of the hood.

Louvers on a sculpted car like the 928, other than for performance racing reasons, is sacrilege.

Yeah I remember him. used to run up and down motel hallways in his underwear with a six gun holster on. I think he now has a special padded room and makes wicker baskets. Nice guy though. heheeheh

Potdog, do you make a copy of the Strosek hood with bulge in the middle and Naca air ducts? I have a friend in Germany who is looking for a Strosek hood. Not available from Strosek anymore.

Maybe life got in the way of his fun? If I'm not mistaken, that picture was the only time that he drove his own car that whole trip. Something about a shoulder surgery or something. The opportunity to have some fun trumped his conservative self-preservation thoughts.....and the picture resulted.

I thought that under the circumstances, the horns were more than appropriate, well thought out, and magnificent!!

We love that guy here in Texas, and he would be gladly welcomed back anytime!

If your looking for different louvers and air ducts/dams - Carl carries them at 928 Motorsports - he has some decent drawings as well --as far as mounting them go. I believe he has entire hoods as well - mostly geared towards racing.
