Deeper in that thread they talk about the differences between the German and US formula for Nivea. If you want to get the original German stuff, this place is great: http://www.smallflower.com/nivea/nivea-cream-400ml-5226
They have to be scratching *** over this by Monday...

Sooo ... does this imply the Grossmutter's skin is in greater need of attention than that of elder femmes elsewhere in the world?
How racist, ageist, and globalist. Tsk tsk. (Have I got enough '-ist's' in there?)
Now what's that tub purchase limit again?

Yes - we've all heard of skin 'like dried leather'.

Just bought the German stuff today at my local supermarket. $9.00. I've applied it already in a very generous quantity and within two hours the seats were starting to feel a little more supple and the colour came back to life in the leather. It looks almost new again. I'll take some pics tomorrow.

I tried the US stuff over the weekend. Seemed to work pretty well. Left it on overnight. Wiped it off the next day. Seat leather is noticeably softer and has a moderate sheen that looks good. Not armor-all gloss, but not dried out matte, either. Was a little greasy after wiping, but after sitting another 24 hours that is gone.

Not sure about the scent yet. I did the seats on my cab, right now I have everything open and its in the carport, and its chilly and breezy, and pouring rain here in Honolulu. Let it sit in the sun with the top up and we will see about the scent. It was a little medicinal smelling going on.

The scent and the sheen are why the German stuff is recommended over the 'murican stuff.
