I'm a big fan of Italian furniture and its quality, but style wise I'm at the opposite end of the spectrum. Places where I have shopped are http://italydesign.com, http://europeancabinets.com (BMT Bagni), and (not Italian) http://www.ligne-roset-usa.com. You will probably cringe when you see this stuff... Sorry!

Nicole, You and I are aligned on taste in furniture, cabinets and automobiles. I spent 14 years owning a home design center and custom cabinet shop specializing in euro design........ mainly emulating German lines like Poggenpohl or Allmilmo and Italian lines like Snaidario. In total contradiction to my personal taste, I designed my steak house restaurant in 1800's Victorian style as my building is 150 years old. I love classic "form follows function" architecture and perhaps is why I have retained my 928 for almost 16 years. (required 928 content) Merry Christmas!

Afshin, I have long used this product on vintage leathers, both automotive and otherwise, with great results. The restorative ingredient is Neatsfoot oil combined with beeswax and microwax for long lasting finish and protectant.
Do you have any opinion on the threat to leather adhesives with this product?

Thanks!

With the Nivea I would limit it's use to the seats and try to keep it away from the threads.
As the saying goes, everything in moderation.

Restoring my A post cover leather trim
I ordered some.Nivea but In the past I have used a mixture of neatsfoot oil and Anhydrous lanolin to the consistancy of Yogurt, wilh great results, it must be put on warm (heated in Microwave ) and keep reapplying until it no longer soaks in..

Good discussion, lots of options being brought to light.
Have applied nivea to 84 seats in cold garage, it's been a few weeks, just cleaned off excess. The seem much softer. Seemed to have penetrated where initially it filled perforations. Fragrance is almost completely dissipated..

Nivea on the right and Bag Balm on the left. The Bag Balm was nice to work with and apply; it feels like it will soak into the leather; it's waxier and hand works well. The Nivea - was lighter and more slippery when spreading.
Liberally applied both. The leather is already in good condition/pliable but not supple; the front seat are also in good condition but have spots where the leather is harder and the texture has changed.
From reading the posts they both contain lanolin - the Bag Balm inspired greater confidence as it felt more like would be better absorbed where the Nivea felt like it might just sit on the surface. We shall see it sounds like most got good results.
Like the rest my hands are now soft so I'll be looking into hand modeling for a little extra income.

Seat treatment.
Just watched episode on Wheeler dealers, where they covered the seats in a leather conditioner, and then place large black hefty bags over the seats ,the bags trap the heat and help the pores open up and absorb the oils, there seats came out very nice.watch the episode on the MasseratI bi turbo restoe.

Hi all, resurrecting this thread to ask if any further comments on Nivea cream. I just found the Nivea I bought back when this first was discussed and am trying it on my seats ...
