Have no idea who's right, or not, I'd like to go watch some 928s go around the track. Being that it's CA, we'll all have to leave our firearms at home. Haven't looked at the latest posts, but hope this comes to fruition.
If you leave your firearm at home, you might be the only one without one....

California is the land of fruits and nuts....not unarmed people.

BTW, the track noted by Sean, near my home, and in the heart of TX is avail for private rental. Guns welcome of course, as are 928s. We can run down to Stephenville for Hard 8 BBQ, best in the world.

Maybe a trip down to the biggest honky tonk in the world too.

Rodeo every Fri and Sat, sometimes big names.

Oh wait, I forgot. Californians. Well, maybe y'all can go over to Dallas for some endive salad and Absolut.

Yep, ive done some self reflection and obviously, how we have been interacting lately is not working. So, it's no problem for me to change a bit in my approach. just so you know i ALWAYS listen and love the discussion , but sometimes that gets lost in the responses. (both ways)..... this usually happens when there is disagreement on the other side.. I'm guilty of that as well sometimes.

Keep in mind, when i ask a question, its usually based on observation, experience or calculation. If it doesn't agree with yours, it doesnt make it wrong, but it certainly creates a challenge to dig a little deeper. There is no validity in numbers if others agree, and this goes both ways as well.
If you are a competitor as i am, then usually you welcome these types of challenges. the trick is checking the ego and arrogance at the door in exchange for the desire for truth.

This, of course, is not the same as "tagging" onto another group's event.
To do this will require planning, commitment, a large truckload of dry sweep, and a weekend that has a high chance of not being interrupted by weather.

Mark Anderson hasn't been in a 928 race car for several years....and while he is not concerned, some extra "sessions' might be good, to orient him to your car. 3-4 sessions would be nice......which could be done on a Saturday. (Since Willow is not your home track, I'm guessing that these extra sessions would benefit you, too.)

There's also the chance that Anderson will not like the way your car is set up and want to make some personalized changes to better suit him. (You do have adjustable sway bars, right? Your driver's seat moves aback and forth, right?) That being said, I've found Anderson to be rather insensitive to set-ups....his abilities are so high that he just compensates with his driving.

Mark and i are both very good at driving around car's inefficiencies. I will be able to be proficient at willow pretty quickly... so not worried. I had broken swaybars, blown brake lines, flat spotted tires, crash caused toe-out, single gear lock out, being in the rain, with slicks, and none of those things bothered me much in races (well the brakes being gone was a little more than an inconvenience ) Both Mark and I can probably be up to speed on the track in a session or two. Most all Pros with world challenge (not the top guys, but the club guys) get up to speed in the first two practices to a pretty competitive level. Just look at Claycos of the racing list. he went to laguna, and had never been there and was running 1:30s in a RSR this past Rennsport weekend . a turn is a turn. The guys i race with that go to willow dont seem to have much of a problem with the track. They seem to be only a second behind the local guys in the same cars.
Yes, the car can be adjusted in many ways. The swaybars are both adjustable, and so are the dual adjustable shocks wing. again, this is a platform that has raced for 15 years and hasnt changed much.. Yes, seat is adjustable too. Mark took a few of the things i am doing on his OWN car to make it handle better during a couple of our weekends together. I'm sure he will like the set up, especially if the tires are good. Ive driven Joes car and Marks car a little. they are very similar . (only difference i could feel was much more power , more stick and stiffer suspension and a lighter feel.). Mark actually drove my car before too at laguna. he said it felt good. that same day i was driving his car at 8/10ths and was running the same times as my car all out.... pretty funny.

Put amsoil in the cars and they all should be fine! (no mobil 1)

Whatever everyone wants to do, im game...

Mk

Greg... maybe we forget about the cash if the car survives, and get one of those intakes on my car!!! it needs the 450rwhp ... that's not asking for a lot, is it?? and ... i also think the transmission will survive too. ask me why?? I have theories for that as well. After all, the stock clutch is not showing any sign of wear and this is 13 years of racing! (with the pumped up stock/mod pressure plate
