Well, I didn't want to take out the clutch assembly as the buyer wanted that with the engine so we decided to remove the four bolts from the torque tube instead. We had the torque tube supported so everything came out nice and smoothly.

But the clutch is only 6 bolts in less than 4 mins.

im sure the torque tube bolts took 30plus mins! those are not easy to get at.
Its generally accepted as the "hard way" but glad you got it out in pretty quick time.

One of the economical ways to ship large or large heavy parts is via your local Fastenal store.
Strap to pallet, deliver to store. Or package the part in a box. They put it into their network and deliver to the store closest to the recipient. Last I checked it was very reasonable pricewise. Last year I shipped a lightweight but very bulky part, a complete S rear spoiler, to Chuck Z in Charlotte using this method.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll have to keep that in mind in case truck freight gets too pricey...

This thread ends here. The engine ships out tomorrow at noon. It should stay nice and safe as it heads to the east coast...
