Jim, I agree. Craigslist is shady at times...I just removed my number from my ad because a scammer hit me within 24 hrs. You know, "I'm over seas but will transfer funds as soon as you send me your paypal".

No response to email for several hours now. Craigslist is so flaky.

the problem is Craigslist is FREE ... so therefore worthless, of no value, no problem you can always run an add again and again and again... or not respond to inquiries because it costs nothing....
at least with autotrader people paid for an add, got a photo taken and probably were serious about selling something...
I think some of the adds on Craigslist are just husbands trying to get their wife to stop bugging them about that damn expensive to fix car......"But Honey I have been trying to sell it"

So.
There was a real person behind the ad. His name was Charles. He runs an English car repair place.
It's an 89gt. The reason I know is because the always pleasant Rob Edwards helped me identify and focus in on the details that are important in a situation like this. And I can't or don't do the technical options speak that he does so well. It's blue, and white. Call me a simple man.
Yes - many many miles. But even with a front suspension that has clearly been made a bit loose from those same miles, this is a smooth car. Really well cared for and probably in a garage when not in use.
It's Baltic/dove blue. Not as striking as the cobalt car, but still nice. And a striking "off white" interior. With seat bolsters that for some great reason are simply not worn.
Basic issues, suspension, clutch is vibrating, and a sizable paint issue on passeNeed rear quarter.
But tight for its age.
And I am grateful to say it's mine now.
Some phone pics to follow.

Congrats and "well bought!"
BTW-check the door jamb or build sticker as I think the color is actually Dove Blue 37B. I don't think Baltic was available in 1989, although anything is possible.
