Since I am a bit late to the party, what is the process, price and timing with these wheels? My Shark below would look spiffy in a set of your wheels! Thanks.

Jim was kind enough to send out a bigass Phone Dial wheel to test fitment on my GTS, a 10.5 x 18 ET63. Works like a champ on the GTS with a 295-30ZR18 R888 (11.8" section width) and the stock 38 mm spacer. I also tested it on Jim Corenman's '90 GT, it ends up a little close to the LCA but with a 5 mm spacer one could put 295s on this ET63 wheel and fill the wheelwells of any S4/GT with rolled fender lips perfectly.

****:

GTS with factory spacer

GT, no spacer:

Also checked fit over GTS front calipers, clears by a mile- Probably would fit over F50/GT-1 brakes.

295 might be a bit much for the front with 'only' 63 offset. - Straight edge is on the sidewall with tire on the ground, 30 mm outside the fender lip....
(Looking forward to playing with the 18x9 ET69 fronts- I think 255's should be doable.)

Thanks for posting this, Rob.

My fav pic is that of Greg Brown with his hairy legs. I imagine him sitting very Zen-like Buddha style, dreaming of classic 928's, shod with modern 18" monster-modern Phone Dial wheels.

For those new to the project, check out this:

How far from market is this project?

I image these wheels will also appeal to other models that were originally shod with the phone dials?
