Default Mobil1 deal in October

Was in Walmart getting oil today (best oil prices around). Mobil1 has $12 email rebate on 5 quarts (either 5 x 1q or 5q) of their synthetic. For a 5 quart jug it's $25.47 before the rebate ($13.47 after). They actually had 15w50 which I use. Cheapest oil change I've ever had.

Do you have a link? I just checked and did not find anything resembling your claim.

Thanks, but I think BJ's has them beat. I purchased a 6 pack of Mobil 1 for just under $26.99. And BJs is on the approved list.

Thanks for posting!

Is there a $12 rebate on the 6-pk too?

Yes - either a 5 quart jug or 5 x 1 quart, up to ten quarts. Scroll down on the link and you'll see the promo. Walmart apparently delivers oil for free if the order is >= $50. 10 quarts is a hair over $50, the rebate sends you $24 back.

Picked mine up last weekend
Are you sure about the $24 though? The way I read the fine print, seems like it's "$12 for 5 qts or more" and not "$12 for every 5 qts". That would be awesome, but I wasn't counting on it.
I was thinking of buying extra jugs and getting random family members to sign up for the rebates

Yes - it is two rebates for 10 qts. From the mobil1 site, you can click to get to the rebate submission form (think it says "visit the website"). Select $12, then there is a drop down box where you select "1 rebate (5+ quarts)" or "2 rebates (10+ quarts)". I bought two 5 quart jugs and submission for two rebates.

I think I saw on an e90 board about Walmart prices for oil in general, which is really good every day of the week. I use Walmart for three things now: oil, ammunition, and live worms (yes they have in refrigerator). Other than that, it's very sketchy area in Raleigh. I grab a couple of boxes of ginger tea crystals from the asian grocery next door, and try not to return to the area for another six months

Well I don't usually shop for live worms, but we definitely have the first two Walmart items in common!

Now I feel like I overpaid. $29 for mobil 1 5qt jug, and $31 for extended mobil 1 5qt jug, from advance with a filter. I bought four jugs and got 2 944 filters, a Volvo S80 filter and a BMW 128i filter. The kid was helpful and got me the better filters. I don't use Mobil 1 in the 944. I use Valvoline racing in the 944 and the BMW and Volvo each take 7 qts, and the M takes 6.
