Default need help - where could this plug into?

its not the ICV and not the throttle sensor. it was clipped i place so it seems like it would only be like a 7 inch radius from where its been clipped.

its a slightly smaller clip interface than the one that goes into the bottom of the throttle body.

sorry to post something probably simple, but i am dead in the water with this here

Looking at the engine picture this is a 924S, I assume?

Does your intake manifold have a weird black fitting sticking out of the top rear, with a missing wire?

yes 924S - thanks!

no the only wiring input is the one at the base of the throttle at the front of the intake manifold...

i took this all apart a month ago, before sending the injectors off and getting busy and i just can't remember this thing. the inside of the clip is clean so seems like it was connected with something

924S doesn't have a knock sensor.
the 924S (at least some?) had a weird little black solenoid valve on top of the intake manifold next to the oil filler cap that had an air hose coming out of it, and a little electrical connector. no idea what its for...but i've seen it before on someone's car.

could this have been a vestigial wire left unhooked the whole time? I'm thinking not, but i just don't recall unhooking it when i started this fuel line project

if it was unhooked the inside would be mega dirty, if its clean, it was plugged in.

I have an 1988 924s. The engine is out of my car. About 4 inches below the #1 plug and a little bit to the front is a 2 pronged plug in. Mu is green. It is just to the left of the single wire plug in. I hope this helps.

thanks - I think that one by the 1st cyl is a thermostat. this wires is clipped to the main DME bundle and won't quite even reach that far. it has a radius of barely reaching the front edge of the AOS and maybe down past the balance shaft tube.

this is the weirdest thing...

Is that a 2 or 3 prong connector?

I looked at my engine again and only found the one plug in. I suggest you go to 924.org. They have a 924s section. Maybe one of those guys could go look at their car for you. If you find out let me know. I may have the same problem when I put my car back together.
