Default What Porsche car do these rotors go to (pics and measurements inside but still ??)

Gentleman, I'm enlisting RL to help me solve a problem that's been confusing me for some time now.

I have in my possession a pair of rotors that I personally removed from either a 95' or 96' (I'm almost certain it was a 96') 993C2. They've been on my shelf for almost 2 years.

Problem is, I can't remember if they came off the front or rear, and since they are OEM brand and not OE porsche, they do not bear any sort of numbers or markings. Now here is where is gets weird.

I took measurements and they dont seem to match any known Porsche rotor!

They are, by my measurements, 296mm diameter and ~28mm thick. The rear rotors on a 993 are supposed to be 299 diameter so perhaps I'm a mm or three off, but the rear rotors are only 24mm thick!

The fronts are 304x32 and these are nowhere near that.

The other interesting thing about them is that they appear designed to bolt to some kind of hat, since the mounting holes in them are much too small to fit over wheel studs, and they have a 5x120mm bolt circle measured from the back of one hole to the center of the one across it. Near as I can tell, no 993 car ever used a 299x28 rotor. they are in really good shape and appear barely used so I'd like to sell them, but I can't do that if I don't know what they are. I'd love some help in figuring this out!

Guessing whatever it goes to, has the rotor mounted behind the wheel hub (like the early 944) so the holes would be smaller.

The "center offset" appears too small to be C2 stuff - I would guess maybe C4 parts put onto a C2? Definitely a front rotor...

99% positive it was a C2 (besides C2 and non S C4's share the same brakes afaik)

also pretty sure it was a front rotor also, but these are 8mm too small in diameter to be front rotors. Also, they appear to have very little wear and the thickness of a new 993 front rotor is 32mm, which would mean these have almost 4mm of wear, double the factory wear limit of 2mm/30mm thickness. I could accept that and toss them into the trash except for the diameter issue..I've measured it 1000x and they are definitely 296-297mm diameter. I could see me being off a mm or 2 and them actually being 299 but no way they are 304mm.

Looking around they match 986 diameter but 986S thickness...
What is the overall thickness of the rotor? From back face to top of the "hat"?

Bolt pattern is weird. 5x120 is used by BMW/VW...maybe some kind of Cayenne (Touareg) setup?

Bolt holes look like 8mm or so which is definitely not a stud/wheel bolt.

Bolt holes are 8mm, and yep 5x120 is a bmw pattern. 296x28 is also the size of a 525IX rotor. I have never touched a 525IX in my life and I took them off a 993 myself though lol. Overall thickness is ~44-45mm, which is much more narrow than a 993 rotor and WAY more narrow than a 964 rotor.
