Default Help Identifying Shift ****

Found this in a box of Porsche parts that were in a car that I had bought some time ago and I wasn't sure if it was from an early Porsche or not. Just looking for some direction on what it may have come off of. Appears that it presses on and is held in place by a clip. Appears to be in nice shape. Its a heavy sucker. Here are some pics:

That appears to be a **** for an old 914/911/912 with 5 speed 901/902 boxes. I can't remember if it will fit an Audi 016 type shifter shaft or not. I actually had the round **** from an old early 70's 911 on one of my old 944 N/As but it was just the **** grafted onto a normal 944 "metal stalk". Which means that **** probably wont fit a 944.

Looks just like the one that came on my 924S. Perhaps I'll try for a picture later.
