My intro and slow build
I am new to the world of 944's.
My name is Matt. I have been reading here for a while now, and finally have a reason to post! I have always had an eye out for one of these beauties, now am finally a proud owner of one!
I wasn't so concerned about finding a turbo car, because an engine swap is in it's future. Reasonable mileage and a well maintained car was what I was after. Early vs. late suspension could have been more of a determining factor, but I wanted a car sooner than later...
I settled with an '84 na with just under 86,000 miles. The price was right, the interior is in good shape, the body is rust free, nearly dent free, and the motor just had all of the belts replaced, as well as the coolant hoses.
I am a long time VAG enthusiast. Corrado's were my car of choice, so high maintenance is nothing new to me. My current daily driver was just taken off the road for a major complete refresh/rebuild. That is the reason for the Porsche. I don't believe in spending my hard earned money of things I don't truly want...
Shot at funny angles... This is the old girl. I love the pushed in na bumpers, so that was a first on my list. I care much for the gaps, and will be correcting the issue.
This is what it is replacing for the time being.

Thanks guys!
I am in the Springs, HICKS. If you have any interest in meeting up, let me know. I'd love to check out your car.
I was curious if there are any 944 groups in Colorado, or ever any get togethers. I'd definitely be up for one. I have a hand full of things that I want to do to it first. It would be cool to see a group of these at one time.

Your 944 looks great Matt!! Any chance you can post a picture of the options sticker that is located in behind the rear carpet and affixed near the driver's side tail light? I really like the color a lot! How is the interior?

Congratulations, nice looking car. Your 944 is an exact copy of my old 84 "Goldie" My brother is enjoying her now. Even the options are almost the same. I hope she is a good to you as "Goldie was" to me.
